I am so, so excited to (finally) share this post with you!! Despite a truckload of holdups, the first round of renovations have been completed and my new studio location is ready to be shared with the world.
If you’ve been following along on social media, you’ve likely heard about my studio journey. Early in 2021 it was decided that after 8 wonderful years I would not be renewing my lease with The Market Common. I had found myself in a position where I was missing entirely too much time with my girls because I had to keep the studio “open” 6 days a week. While it’s understandable that a busy shopping center would require fixed hours, it wasn’t something that I could continue to do on my own. It pained me to turn over those keys, but I had to take the opportunity to put my family first.
As they say, when one door closes another one opens… literally!
After months of searching, I found the perfect home for my business in Murrells Inlet. The past few months have been hectic, as this space needed a lot of deep cleaning and renovations. New floors, new walls, new signage, and more cleaning supplies than I can count… but I am so excited to say that what once was a medical spa is now the Grand Strand’s premier newborn & baby portrait studio!
Keep scrolling for a detailed look at the new space, as well as some before & after images.
A studio designed with you in mind
The lobby is a beautiful open space. I created a comfortable (and colorful!) lounge area for parents, complete with a coffee bar and a fully stocked changing table. There is also a playroom for older siblings to use during newborn sessions and 4 separate backdrop areas for me to photograph in.
Clients can also browse some of my favorite products that are on display, including party boards, gallery block collages, custom folio boxes, accordion mini albums, birth announcements, and more.
Much of the back half of the studio still needs to be painted, but it features two offices, a kitchen, a prop room, two storage rooms, and two separate bathrooms.
The client bathroom was styled with new Mamas in mind and comes fully stocked with everything she might need!
It’s been a crazy road, but despite all of the chaos I am so overjoyed to call this beautiful space my own. This studio is everything I’ve ever dreamed of and I’m so excited to be able to provide my clients and their families an even more amazing experience than ever before.
Thank you to everyone for your support (and your patience!) as my small business went through this huge transition. It’s been an honor to serve the Grand Strand for the past 13 years, and I look forward to creating beautiful images for years to come!
