Baby Steps is in full swing!

** This nostalgic post remains on the blog to show my humble beginnings and the growth of my work over the years. I hope it serves as inspiration to those who are in the beginning stages of their photography journey. Remember, we all start somewhere and I am so thankful to have these moments to look back on. **

We’re 9 days in to the official launch of Baby Steps by Crystal Lee, and everything has been going amazingly well! I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their support as I branch out into this new adventure, you have been so wonderful to me.  I am so blessed to have been able to turn my passion into a career. A full time career at that… I finally left my part time retail job just in time for the launch! (Woohoo!)

This program is something I have been thinking about doing for a long time. When I left the life of retail studio photography behind in 2008, I promised myself that I would never do any style of photography that I wasn’t absolutely, 100% excited about doing. That’s why I started out with weddings… because I am absolutely in love with love. I have taken the experiences from my own wedding and used them to build a fabulous customer experience for my clients. I get phone calls and emails constantly for family beach photographs… sorry folks, but that’s just not a service that I am interested in offering. There are so many other talented photographers in this area who can provide that service… the joy of being a small business owner is that I only have to do the work that I really truly love. Like newborns!

The under 1 year category has always been my favorite, since my studio days. Baby’s first year of life is so incredible to watch. And that’s what Baby Steps is all about… capturing the amazing milestones of that first year, and the adorable innocence of those first 2 weeks.
