10 years ago Christy was working at a restaurant in Conway. DJ and a friend came in literally every day for two weeks and always sat in Christy’s section. After two weeks she finally asked him if he was ever going to ask her out. He finally did and they have been together ever since!
On March 1st, 2017, DJ saved the lives of two women who found themselves submerged in their vehicle in the Waccamaw River. Those women were Kate Henry and Haley Morris, who nominated Christy and DJ for the Dream Wedding Giveaway. Their video touched the hearts of our local community and on July 23rd, 2017 Christy & DJ said their vows in front of their family and friends, with Kate and Haley by their side as bridesmaids.
The wedding was styled to match the coastal decor of the beautiful Doubletree Resort while also incorporating some country accents and details personal to the couple, such as antlers and tree stump centerpieces.
