I am over the moon excited to share this post with you today! Cristin was the very first model to come to the studio and test out my all-new portrait offering. This Mama-to-be is 32 weeks along with her first child and she looks absolutely amazing! It was an honor to have been there for her wedding to Jamie in 2016, and even more so to be here now to celebrate their first child.
Seriously, how stunning is she??!
There are so many amazing local photographers that offer beach portraits. Up to this point, all of my maternity sessions have been done on location as well. But while I do love the feeling of sand in my toes, I wanted to offer a different experience.
Offering maternity sessions in studio is something that I’ve dreamed of doing for many years but I could never push myself to fully invest in it. Now that I have a brand new studio space that offers the privacy and amenities my clients need, it was time to step up and make it happen.
At the start of this year, I decided to take the leap and book a workshop with one of my favorite maternity and newborn photographers. The actual workshop isn’t until the end of summer, so I wanted to get a head start and make sure that I had all of the equipment I needed. New lighting, new backdrops, and SO many beautiful gowns! (My accountant might be a little annoyed with me when he sees my expense report, oops… sorry Jackson!)
Cristin was such a trooper as she modeled 8 different pieces from my client closet. I honestly can’t pick a favorite!!
This flowing fabric from Mii-Estilo has become one of my favorite pieces and I can’t wait to order more in various colors.
Here are just a few of my favorite images from Cristin’s model call session. I can’t wait to meet this sweet baby of hers in just a few weeks!
If you or someone you know is expecting a little one this year, I would love to talk with you more about booking a maternity and newborn session experience!
Be social!
